Kaş is one of the most charming towns on the Turkish coast — white houses with bougainvillea around a small harbour, with a Greek island visible across the water. It has kept its small scale and its character.
It is our favourite base on the Lycian coast for diving, sea kayaking over sunken ruins, and easy access to Patara and the Lycian Way.

Is Kaş good for families?
Yes, though beaches are mostly rocky platforms and small coves rather than long sandy strips. Patara and Kaputaş are the best sandy options.
Can you visit the Greek island of Meis from Kaş?
Yes, a short ferry runs regularly. You need a passport and, depending on nationality, a Schengen visa or visa-on-arrival arrangement — we check your case.
