Patara
One of the longest beaches in Türkiye, with a Lycian city in the dunes.
Patara combines one of the longest and wildest beaches in Türkiye with the ruins of a major Lycian city, including the assembly building of the Lycian League — sometimes described as an early example of representative government.
The beach is protected for nesting sea turtles and has no big hotels. It is also traditionally known as the birthplace of St Nicholas.

Rarely. It is long and protected from development, so even in summer there is space.
Can you stay near Patara Beach?
There are small guesthouses in Gelemiş village; many visitors stay in Kalkan or Kaş.
