Dalyan is a small river town whose views are dominated by Lycian rock tombs carved into the cliffs across the water. Wooden boats take visitors through the reed beds to the sea.
It is also a conservation success story: İztuzu Beach is a protected nesting ground for loggerhead sea turtles. We plan it slowly, by boat.

Can you see turtles in Dalyan?
Loggerhead turtles nest on İztuzu Beach from roughly May to September. Sightings in the river are common, and the rescue centre explains the conservation work.
Is Dalyan close to the airport?
Yes, it is one of the closest resort towns to Dalaman Airport, about half an hour away.
