Türkiye runs its own visa system — separate from Schengen — and for most of our clients entry is simple: UK and most EU passport holders visit visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period, while visitors from Gulf countries typically obtain an e-visa online in minutes. Rules change, so always confirm on the official channels — evisa.gov.tr and the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs — before booking.

| Most EU states (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands…) | Visa-free | 90 days in any 180-day period |

This table reflects commonly published 2026 rules and is informational only — verify your nationality's current requirements on official sources before travel.
Practical Notes That Catch People Out
- Passport validity: carry comfortably more than the minimum — at least six months validity and a blank page is the safe standard
- The 90/180 rule is a rolling window, not a calendar reset; overstays bring fines and possible entry bans
- Border officials may ask for a return ticket, accommodation details and proof of funds
- A Turkish e-visa does not grant Schengen access, and a Schengen visa does not cover Türkiye — separate systems entirely
- Use only the official portal evisa.gov.tr for e-visas; third-party sites charge unnecessary markups
Travelling for Medical Treatment?
Short medical visits are generally made under the same tourist entry as any other trip, and your clinic's invitation or treatment plan is useful supporting paperwork. For longer treatment programmes that exceed tourist stay limits, ask your clinic and the nearest Turkish consulate about the appropriate route well in advance.
How Itinerary of Türkiye Helps
We flag the entry requirements for your nationality during planning, point you to the official application channels, and make sure your paperwork — clinic correspondence, accommodation, transfers — is consistent and ready before you fly.
